Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Even though we do not "spam" gaming forums or advertise for new members in game, we do actively recruit members. We do not want to just arbitrarily pick people at random, but instead will meet people in game and invite as we see fit. If you feel that you would be a good fit to our guild, please send an email via the contact page.
All allies are to be treated as members. All members and allies should be treated with respect. Of course we all joke at times, but excessive disrespect is cause for expulsion from our guild.
Our members feel that hacks and cheats ruin a person's gaming experience. We do not tolerate the use of any third party programs to cheat while playing a game. Any member found using a hack/cheat will be expelled from our guild immediately.
Our general code of conduct can be summed up as: My Honor is My Life
There are very few rules that members must follow. For example, members are required to post on our forums two times per month and check the forums often. The forums are used to help members plan events and participate in them. The Guild Policy page has the remainder of our rules.
Currently, Circle of the Crown is active in Everquest 2, Dark Age of Camelot, World of WarCraft, and Star Wars Galaxies. We plan on expanding into Vanguard: Shadow of Heroes and Lord of the Rings Online after they are released.
Since Circle of the Crown is a multi-gaming guild, there are two types of councils: The Supreme Council consists of the King, Prince, Founders, Lords (first in command of a gaming segment), and Barons (second in command of a gaming segment). Each gaming segment has a Lord, Baron, Senior Officers, Officers, Members, Junior Members, Initiates, and Recruits. More information as to duties of ranks can be found at the Guild Policy page.
A gaming segment is a single online game that CotC plays as a guild.
A prospective member (not a member of CotC as of yet) may request admission into our guild based on that segments recruiting rules. A member that is part of an existing segment will be permitted to join any existing segment of our guild.
The Lord of a gaming segment has the final say in whatever matters concerning the guild in the game he or she leads. High Council and Supreme Council members can advise or act in the Lords place as necessary.
Currently, only Supreme Council members can have their own username@circleofthecrown.com email address.
